The National Park Service and the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) have responsibility for managing approximately 400 park units and 500 refuges, respectively. The maps available below primarily identify the lands which have been designated as Class I by the Clean Air Act. For completeness, maps of the Forest Service (FS) and Native American Class I areas are also included. |
The National Park Service provides access to
national park boundary files and other GIS
resources through its Geography
and Mapping Technologies web site. However,
the ArcView Shapefiles that were used to
create the Class I maps are available below.
