The systems group provides a full range of systems support services with a staff of systems accountants, systems analysts, and computer specialists. The NBC supports full systems life cycle engineering and computer systems operations, including:
Remote Data Entry:
- policies and procedures
- training development and delivery
- security and internal controls
- user documentation
Interface Development and Management:
- interface requirements
- documentation and training
- interface programming
- production support
Accounting Operations
The Operations group provides a full range of operating support services with a staff of CPA's, staff accountants, financial specialists, and accounting technicians. The NBC offers the following services:
Perform all appropriated reimbursable, and trust accounting functions; payroll liaison functions, reconciliations with Treasury; all general ledger reconciliations; comprehensive internal reviews in the areas of finance and property; physical property inventories; risk assessments for real and personal property.
Process travel vouchers, vendor payments, and permanent changes of station.
Provide accounting support to Property Management; training on internal voucher examination, remote data entry and property.
Prepare all financial regulatory reports; financial statements; IRS Form 1099.
Manage debt collection program, including referrals to Treasury.
Maintain client's accounting history.
Develop statistical sampling procedures, including providing documentation and training; desk procedures in the areas of finance and property; financial performance measures and reports; internal management reports, including special reports to assist managers in monitoring their programs.
Advise on establishment and coordination of internal and external standards, criteria and procedures for accounting in areas of finance and property.
