Performance Support
The National Business Center (NBC) offers at cost a wide variety of performance support products and services. These offerings are designed to help organizations strategically plan and improve productivity; and they can be modified to suit specific customer requirements. They are largely highly technical in nature and are essentially designed and provided for the benefit of the NBC and its administrative systems, including the Federal Personnel/Payroll System and the Federal Financial System. However, as time and resources permit, the NBC may offer these products and services to external clients on a case-by-case basis. The NBC works with clients to customize specific products or services to meet the client's needs.

The NBC's performance support products and services include the following:

    bulletDevelopment of web-enabled software applications

    bulletWebsite development and maintenance

    bulletDesktop, LAN-based and Web-based computer-based training (CBT) products

    bulletProsumer computer-generated videos, graphics, animation, and 3-D modeling

    bulletElectronic performance support systems

    bulletJust-in-time training products

    bulletLong-distance learning

    bulletKiosk applications development and implementation

    bulletMarketing literature in the form of pamphlets, brochures, etc.

    bulletMulti-media presentations for demonstrations, briefings, marketing

    bulletClassroom training for NBC administrative systems

    bulletOrganization development, including strategic planning, facilitation, process reengineering, etc.

The NBC maintains low development costs by:

    bulletUse of state-of-the-art structured techniques and technology, including but not limited to the use of templates, rapid prototyping, object-oriented and modular development

    bulletCombining video and computer technologies

    bulletDevelopment of web-enabled and distributed products
