Ambassador Untermeyer hosts Ramadan Tent
On October 25, Ambassador Untermeyer hosted the first of a series of Ramadan Tents to be held at the residence in this holy month of Ramadan. This event was a hit as a number of important Qatari dignitaries from differnet walks of life attended. The dignitaries included Government officials, Academicians, Journalists and Diplomats. The Ambassador recieved the guests who were treated in a large tent decorated in true Qatari style.

Latest Electronic Journal: ELECTIONS GUIDE 2004 The United States is in the midst of a new election season and candidates are crisscrossing the country. Campaign signs are sprouting up in front yards and adorning car bumpers. Volunteers are appearing at grocery stores and train stations, offering to help people with last-minute voter registration. Serious, sometimes heated, conversations are taking place with increasing frequency about which candidate will lead the country down a better road.
Most Americans follow a presidential election campaign through the newspaper or on the nightly television news or their favorite radio talk show or Internet Website. Relatively few citizens have the experience of meeting the candidates unless they live in a hotly contested state—one of the so-called battleground states.

Ambassador Untermeyer presents his credentials Ambassador Chase Untermeyer presented his credentials to Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, in Doha on September 12, 2004. The minister on this occasion wished the Ambassador success in his mission here.
Ambassador Chase Untermeyer was sworn in as the new Ambassador to State of Qatar on the 10th of August at a function in the State Department. The Secretary of State, Collin Powell in his remarks at the swearing in ceremony said "Chase Untermeyer's diverse talents make him uniquely qualified to lead our mission in Qatar."(complete text)
