WHAT'S NEW!
AADAP has a Web site: the Service's Aquatic Animal Drug Approval Partnership (AADAP) Program has a newly revised and expanded website. The site is a "one-stop-source" of information for all involved in gaining new drugs approved for aquaculture species. It includes information particularly about the Service's activities in FDA's aquatic animal drug approval process, as well as other aquatic animal drug approval related activities.

The Service's Division of the National Fish Hatchery System is working hand-in-hand with USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and DOC's National Marine Fisheries Service to develop a National Aquatic Animal Health Plan. The Plan, once completed in June 2006, will provide the foundation for policies and regulations to protect our nation's natural aquatic resources and aquaculture industries from foreign and exotic diseases. Progress of our inter-departmental efforts are being tracked on USDA-APHIS's web page: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/vs/aqua/naah_plan.html
