F
or more than 100 years, the United States Government Printing Office (GPO) has printed and distributed publications about America's armed forces. From 1941 to 1945, GPO produced millions of training manuals, maps, posters, and battle reports as our part of the war effort. Today, GPO distributes official accounts of America's participation in all of its wars, with special emphasis on The Big One — World War II. This page lists just a few of the publications available for sale from GPO. You can find them, and many more here at our U.S. Government Online Bookstore (http://bookstore.gpo.gov), or by visiting our bookstore at 710 North Capitol St. NW, Washington, D.C., Monday through Friday (just a block down from Union Station and Union Station Metro stop). While you're in town, stop on by. We hope you'll find something that will bring back memories, or tell you something you never knew, about America's part in the Second World War.
