first wild-born condor chick to fly in California in 22 years officially fledged
Nov. 4 when it took a 150-foot flight. It first left its nest in early September,

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Chesapeake Bay Field Office has teamed up with
NBC4 to disperse environmental information via interactive web activities and
TV weather broadcasts. WATERSHEDS: Where the Atmosphere Meets the Earth
was created by the National Environmental Education and Training Foundation
to increase public awareness about basic environmental concepts and challenges.

Interior Secretary Announces Coastal Wetland Grants to Protect Wildlife and Habitat in 10 States |

Secretary
of the Interior Gale Norton announced today that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service will award more than $13 million in grants to 10 states to conserve,
restore and protect coastal wetlands. States awarded grants for fiscal year
2005 under the National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program are Alaska,
Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington
