and Office of Cosmetics and Colors
Move to College Park, MD

The New University Station building

Dear Colleagues,

The Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) is pleased to announce the upcoming relocation of the Office of Food Additive Safety (OFAS) and the Office of Cosmetics and Colors (OCAC). They are relocating to a new building, University Station, at 4300 River Road, College Park, MD 20740-3835. This new building is located adjacent to the Harvey Wiley building on the CFSAN College Park Campus.

The Office of Food Additive Safety and the Director's office for the Office of Cosmetics and Colors, currently located on Vermont Avenue in Washington, D.C., will begin moving to University Station on Friday, November 5, 2004, and the move will be completed by Monday, November 8.

The Division of Color Certification and Technology, Office of Cosmetics and Colors, which is currently located in Chantilly, Virginia, will have two moves. The first move will start November 1, 2004 and will include all the research functions at Chantilly and will be completed that week. The second move from Chantilly will include the color certification functions and will begin on November 15, 2004 and will be completed that week.

For the month following the move, there will be recorded messages providing all of their new telephone and facsimile machine phone numbers. Email addresses will not be affected by this move.
