Federal Agencies participate at the White House Summit on Federal Electronics Stewardship.
On October 21, 2004, twenty-five federal agencies participated at the
White House Summit on Federal Electronics Stewardship. Sponsored by
the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive and the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, the Summit brought together a diverse
group of agency and department's top information technology
decision-makers to discuss and better understand the serious
environmental impacts associated with electronics and the tremendous
opportunities for the federal government to improve the management of
our IT assets. The event also helped to launch the Federal
Electronics Challenge, a government-wide initiative designed
specifically to assist federal agencies improve the environmental and
fiscal management of the Federal government's IT investments. [more]

Final Report to the President
On October 18, 2004, Federal Environmental Executive Edwin Piñero sent to President George W. Bush a report entitled, "Leading by Example: A Report to the President on Federal Energy and Environmental Management (2002-2003)."
This report highlights the many accomplishments in the Federal government regarding energy and environmental performance.
