campaign, cover model/enterpreneur Christy
Turlington has become active in the campaign to educate teens
about addiction to tobacco products. In a compelling 30-second
commercial, Christy shares the story of losing her father to lung
cancer, talks about the addictive nature of nicotine, and
describes her own personal battle to quit smoking. Christy has
donated her time as a spokesperson for the CDC since early spring
1998, and plans to continue to be a spokesperson for this effort.
