Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD)

The Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) database provides instant access to registration documents filed by more than 9,000 registered investment advisers. At present, IAPD contains Forms ADV (Part 1 only) for investment adviser firms that register electronically using the Investment Adviser Registration Depository (IARD). It is expected that IAPD will expand to encompass all registered investment advisers-individuals as well as firms-in every state.

All information filed by advisers on Part 1 of Form ADV is available on IAPD, except for certain identifying information (e.g., social security numbers, home addresses, and contact information for employees). Part II of Form ADV is not filed electronically through IARD. Registered investment advisers are not required to submit a copy of Part II of Form ADV to the SEC.

The IAPD website is available 24 hours a day, free of charge. Investors without Internet access can obtain copies of Part 1 of the current (as well as historical) Form ADV by contacting the SEC Public Reference at:

Washington, D.C. 20549-0102
Telephone: (202) 942-8090
Fax: (202) 628-9001

Please note that you may have to pay a photocopying charge of $0.24 per page, plus postage.

Even if an investment adviser is no longer registered, the information on the adviser will remain in IAPD for two years. You should click on the heading "Registration Status" to verify that your adviser is actively registered.

Investors also can obtain copies of investment adviser registration forms by contacting the appropriate state regulator (that is, the state where the investment adviser conducts business).
