Orange Book Patents Update
The
Electronic Orange Book has been revised to include a new
PATENT search.
Patents will be added to the Electronic Orange
Book on a DAILY basis as received by the Orange Book staff
(which may not reflect the official receipt date as described in 21
C.F.R 314.53 (c) (3) (5). Patent listings may be viewed via the
Search by Patent option of the Electronic Orange Book. The new
search option allows the user to view patent listings by patent
number, newly added patents, or patent delistings with links to
patent use codes. There will be no change to the MONTHLY
update schedule of the remainder of the Orange Book information.
Patents will be flagged as "newly added"
until the publication of the monthly update of the entire Orange
Book. Upon the monthly Orange Book update the patents will continue
to be published in the Orange Book but will not be flagged as
"new." All previous links to patent information that were available
prior to addition of the new patent search capabilities will
continue as before.
The
Patent Docket
 (Updated 7/1/2004) will
continue be updated WEEKLY (approximately) until June 30,
2004. All information in the patent docket may be found by using the
Electronic Orange Book.
Orange Book data files
will continue to be updated on a MONTHLY basis. The files
will not reflect the daily patent updates added since the last
Orange Book monthly update.
