Dear Colleague:
NSF's CISE Directorate is expanding and distributing opportunities
for innovative education projects and now welcomes educational proposals
to most program solicitations. Educational projects may develop innovative
curricular materials or undertake other activities that have the potential
greatly to improve higher education in CISE-related areas. Projects
may be in stand-alone proposals or components of research and education
proposals. Curriculum development activities must include strong justification
of the need for the new materials and must include plans for disseminating
them to the community and for evaluating their effectiveness.
Following is a list of the CISE programs where educational
proposals may currently be submitted. Several additional program solicitations
will be posted soon, including ones in the Division of Information and
Intelligent Systems. Consult the CISE web site at http://www.cise.nsf.gov/
for details.
If you have questions about a specific program, please
contact the program officers listed in the program solicitation. If
you have general questions, please contact Anita LaSalle (alasalle@nsf.gov).
Sincerely,
Gregory R. Andrews
Director, Division of Computer and Networked Systems
