Welcome to The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's (CMS) informational website on the "Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999." This landmark legislation modernizes the employment services system for people with disabilities and makes it possible for millions of Americans with disabilities to no longer have to choose between taking a job and having health care. Demonstration to Maintain Independence and Employment
- IMPORTANT: CMS has extended the deadline for submitting proposals under this solicitation until October 31, 2004. CMS requests that states wishing to take advantage of this opportunity send an e-mail expressing their interest to DMIE@cms.hhs.gov by September 13, 2004. Other than the extension of the deadline, the solicitation remains the same. All requirements remain in effect.
