Highlights of the National Child Care Data Quality Symposium

(June 5-6, 2000)

Overview:

The Child Care Bureau convened the National Child Care Data Quality Symposium to discuss child care data now becoming available as a result of reporting requirements with States, Territories, public policy makers, researchers, and advocates. During the two-day meeting participants discussed the significance of the data collection effort, the gaps in the current data set, and procedures for improving the quality of the data.
