Education and Careers/Garrett Morgan Program -- An education site inspired
by Garrett A. Morgan, an African-American businessman and inventor whose technology
was the basis for modern traffic signal systems.
- FAA Academy
-- Develops and conducts training courses, plan, maintain and manage the FAA's
distance learning systems, and provide training program management and consultation
services.
- U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
-- Educates and graduates professional officers to serve the economic and national
defense interests of the United States in our armed forces and merchant marine.
- U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Global Maritime and Transportation School -- Provides continuing education
and training programs for professionals from the maritime and transportation industry
(private-sector, military, and government.)
- University Transportation Centers
Program -- Education is one of the primary objectives of this program. The
site includes an alphabetical listing of institutions which house past and present
University Transportation Centers.
- Transportation Safety Institute
-- Supports DOT's vital mission to ensure safety and security in the nation's
transportation system through instruction to both those entrusted with enforcement
and those obligated to compliance to safety standards.
- FAA Aviation Education

Serving Institutions (MSI) and Educational Partnerships Program -- Programs
include: student internships, fellowships, grants, and research and development
opportunities and activities. The site includes information on DOT's educational
partnerships with non-profit educational organizations: Historically
Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic
Association of Colleges and Universities, and Tribal
Colleges and Universities. Students wishing to apply, may apply

Development Program (PDP) -- The PDP is a structured two-year entry-level
career development program for individuals who have received a college bachelor's
or master's degree.
