Educators

Every year, some of your students will work in part-time or summer jobs that provide great opportunities for learning important life skills and acquiring hands-on experience. Federal and State rules regarding young workers strike a balance between ensuring sufficient time for educational opportunities and allowing appropriate work experiences. Students may look to their teachers for information of part-time or summer jobs. With the help of YouthRules! and its partners, educators can help ensure that teens have a safe and rewarding work experience.

The resources on this web site will help you understand what hours and what jobs teens can work, and help you to talk to your students about preventing workplace injuries.
