2004 Application Process

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is open to all charitable organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under Title 26, United States Code, Section 501(c)(3). Applicant organizations must meet the eligibility and public accountability standards detailed in the United States Code of Federal Regulations, Title 5, Chapter 950. Local organizations must demonstrate that they have a substantial local presence in the geographic area covered by the CFC campaign, a substantial local presence in the geographic area covered by an adjacent CFC campaign, or a substantial statewide presence. The application deadline to participate as a local organization is determined by local campaign officials, usually in March or April of each year. A list of local campaign contacts and local campaign boundaries is available.

How to Apply as a Local Organization

Local application deadlines vary from campaign to campaign. For details on the deadline in your area and information on where to submit the application, please contact your local PCFO. A listing of all campaigns can be downloaded at http://www.opm.gov/cfc/html/Local-CFC-Offices.htm.

How to Apply as a National/International Organization

2004 MODEL APPLICATIONS
Applications must be received by OPM no later than
5:00pm Monday, February 2nd, 2004
Late applications will not be considered.

Please note that OPM is still experiencing significant delays with mail service associated with irradiating mail prior to its delivery to Federal offices.  As a result, all organizations submitting an application are vigorously encouraged to use "next day" or "overnight delivery".

National organizations must provide services, benefits, or program assistance in 15 states or in one or more foreign countries.
