State Long Term Care Insurance Tax Incentives

Many states offer state tax incentives to encourage the purchase of long term care insurance. If you’d like to find out whether your state offers such incentives, please contact your state insurance department directly. The Office of Personnel Management does not maintain specific information on state tax incentives. Your state insurance department should be listed in the “blue” government pages of your local phone book, or you may wish to consult a list of state insurance departments at the back of the NAIC Shoppers Guide to Long Term Care Insurance which you can find in the Resource Library at www.ltcfeds.com.
