Updating the Database

We announce savings bond rates every six months. Because our rates are variable, you'll need to update your Wizard's database twice a year to keep up with the current values. Beginning with Wizard IV, the update file will contain all available update values.

Please note: The minimum holding period for Series EE and Series I bonds will be 12 months for those bonds issue dated February 2003 and later. Series EE and I bonds issue dated January 2003 and before will retain their 6-month holding period. We've updated the Savings Bond Wizard to reflect this change. If you purchase Series EE or Series I bonds February 2003 or later, be sure you download and install the newest version of the Wizard.

Please choose the version of the Wizard for which you need updated values:

Wizard IV

The easiest way to update version 4 of the Wizard is by using the automatic download and update inside the Wizard program. If you have problems using the automatic update, the most current version of the update file is available below.

Please Note: This file will not work for updating past versions of the Wizard, including some Beta versions of Wizard IV. If you're using an older version of the Wizard (2.x and earlier), you'll find the update files below.
