United American International, Inc.

On November 7, 2000, the SEC obtained preliminary injunctions against United American International, Inc. and others in connection with the fraudulent sale of $70 million in investments in two offshore mutual funds. The court also appointed Gerald G. Pecht as receiver to take over the operations and to locate and collect investor funds. The receiver has set up a website for investors that includes information about the litigation and a questionnaire form for submitting claims.
