The U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) Commissioned Corps offers two excellent opportunities for students in commissionable health-related categories throughout the academic year through the Junior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (JRCOSTEP) and Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (SRCOSTEP).  Both programs are highly competitive.
