Volpe TEAM Effort
(Tutoring, Education And Mentoring)

Established in 1992, the Volpe TEAM Effort presents the Volpe Center Community (Volpe employees, regional DOT employees, and contractors) with the opportunity to participate in volunteer activities, reinforcing the Center's commitment to the community. These volunteer opportunities benefit both volunteers and program recipients by increasing mentoring skills; helping to prepare for an increasingly diverse workforce; and transferring technology, information, and transportation career opportunities to others.

The TEAM Effort has consisted of programs aimed at elementary, high school, and adult education students in addition to an inhouse mentoring program designed for Volpe Center employees. Recently, a new program was added that gives employees an opportunity to record for the blind and dyslexic. Details about this exciting program are provided below. For information on other volunteer opportunities, please visit TEAM Effort Programs.
