Organization

The Trade Policy and Programs division is divided into three offices with responsibility for the diverse aspects of trade policy:

  • Office of Multilateral Trade Affairs promotes open markets that increase opportunities for U.S. trade and investment, as well as economic policy reforms that provide a basis for further global growth. 
  • Office of Bilateral Trade Affairs promotes open markets between the United States and its trading partners.
  • Office of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Textile Trade Affairs formulates and implements policies on issues ranging from food safety and agricultural productivity to trade in agricultural biotechnology and textile products.
