Innovative programs refer to creative methods of administering the TANF program, imaginative ways that services are provided, or new means of helping TANF recipients with multiple barriers. This page presents a variety of programs nominated as innovative programs in their field. They are organized by welfare policy topic areas -- from support services such as transportation and mentoring, to TANF programs service integration ideas -- that are successful in addressing a variety of TANF clients. If you have any questions or would like more information on the programs, please contact the programs directly. Innovative programs are gathered from TA events, and are submitted by states, counties, and community-based organizations that nominate innovative or different programs in their jurisdictions that they believe "work" and are effectively assisting welfare clients achieve self-sufficiency. Please submit innovative programs that you are implementing or that you know have been successful in helping TANF clients achieve self-sufficiency by either:
