The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), one of three centers under the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, is the sole Federal organization responsible for improving accessibility and quality of substance abuse prevention services, with the aim of bringing effective services to every community.
Centers for Disease Control's Tobacco Information and Prevention Source (TIPS)
The Office of Smoking and Health (OSH) is a division within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion responsible for leading and coordinating strategic efforts aimed at preventing tobacco use and promoting smoking cessation among youth and adults.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)

TiP is a community-supported network of school based organizations (SBOs) seeking solutions to substance abuse and violence. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) manage and operates the Network of SBO's and Regional Chapters across the country.
Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)
The mission of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is to support law enforcement investigative efforts and foster interagency and global cooperation against domestic and international financial crimes; and to provide U.S. policy makers with strategic analyses of domestic and worldwide trends and patterns.
The Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention
The Center was established by the U. S. Department of Education. Its mission is to provide nationwide support for campus alcohol and other drug prevention efforts.
National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information
NCADI is the information service of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. NCADI is "the world's largest resource for current information and materials about alcohol and other drugs." Includes a current collection of primary prevention materials. Catalog available online.
National Criminal Justice Reference Service
National Criminal Justice Reference Service performs in partnership with agencies of the U. S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, the Office of National Drug Control Policy and others as a federally funded resource offering justice and substance abuse information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide.
National Institute on Drug Abuse
NIDA is part of the National Institutes of Health, Public Health Service, Department of Health and Human Services. The organizational mission is to apply the "power of science" to drug abuse and addiction. NIDA supports and conducts research across a broad range of disciplines, and ensuring the dissemination of results to significantly improve prevention, treatment, and policy.
Office of National Drug Control Policy
Directs all federal domestic and international treatment and enforcement initiatives. Issues the annual National Drug Control Strategy.
Office of National Drug Control Policy Media Campaign
Federally mandated, science-based advertising and public service campaign educating youth, ages 9 to 18, to reject drug use. Partners with the private sector, celebrity spokesmen, television, and interactive media to deliver the anti-drug message to parents, educators, and young people.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
SAMHSA works to improve prevention, treatment, and rehabilitative services to reduce the death, disability, and cost to society resulting from substance abuse and mental illnesses.
