    Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)

    A research study is underway to test the effectiveness of a medication for patients with hypertension, also known as high blood pressure.

    Volunteers age 60 or older who have been diagnosed with hypertension and do not have evidence of kidney disease or a gastrointestinal disorder may be eligible to participate.

    The research site is in New York City.

    Crohn's Disease

    Researchers are developing a new drug to see if it will safely and effectively reduce the signs and symptoms of Crohn's disease.

    Volunteers 18 years or older who have been diagnosed with active Crohn's disease may be eligible to participate. Women can't be pregnant or breast-feeding, and patients can't have received another Anti-TNF medication in the past 12 weeks.

    Research sites are located throughout the United States.

    Prostate Cancer Prevention

    A research study is underway to determine the safety and effectiveness of an oral medicine in preventing the development of prostate cancer.

    Men who have had a single negative prostate biopsy within 6 months before enrollment in the study and who have a PSA between 2.5 and 10 may be eligible to participate.

    Another eligible group is candidates between 50-60 years old, or those over 60 who have a PSA between 3.0 and 10.

    The research site is in Voorhees, N.J.
