    Osteoporosis

    A research study to determine the correct dose of an investigational medication to treat female patients between the ages of 50 - 75 with osteopenia/osteoporosis. Women who have been post-menopausal for five years or more and who have been diagnosed with osteopenia/osteoporosis may be eligible. Research sites located throughout the United States.

    Postherpetic Neuralgia

    A research study of an investigational medication for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia or PHN, a painful disorder that occurs after having shingles. Volunteers 55 or older who continue to have pain from shingles 2-18 months after the rash has healed may be eligible. Research site located in Boston, Mass.

    High Cholesterol (Hyperlipidemia)

    A research study of an investigational medication for the treatment of high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia). Hispanic volunteers (descendants of someone from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba or a Spanish-speaking country in South or Central America) at least 18 years old who have high cholesterol may be eligible. Research site located in Encino, Calif.
