The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has published two new announcements pertaining to competitive educational loan repayment grant programs for clinical and pediatric researchers. AHRQ eligible grantees and students may apply to NIH for these grants.
AHRQ-funded students have benefited from these programs in the past. For example, one of AHRQ's institutional training programs has 8 fellows who applied for and received loan repayment. These programs provide support up to $35,000 a year in educational loans ($100,000 in bills common upon completion of medical school) for eligible students.
