Office of the Director (OD)
The Office of the Director (OD) of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development provides overall leadership, planning, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Institute’s research programs. It develops internal policies and monitors their implementation. The OD leads NICHD efforts in the assessment and dissemination of information for the scientific community, for clinical practitioners, and for the public.
