Objective:
Characterize CTV populations and develop diagnostic tools for detecting CTV.

Approach:
Determine the relatedness of domestic and exotic CTV isolates by comparing and contrasting PCR amplified sequence specific genetic markers. Construct an infectious cDNA clone of the T3 isolate to map viral genetic determinants of CTV-induced stem-pitting.
