2ND IMPORTANT REMINDER
GENERAL ELECTION MASS MAILING CUT-OFF
Dear Colleague:
The cut-off date for mass mailing prior to the general election is AUGUST 7, 2002. All mass mailings must be postmarked on or before August 7, 2002, if your name appears on an official ballot for election or re-election for public office.
A mass mailing is defined as any unsolicited mailing of 500 or more pieces of substantially identical content in a session of Congress. Communications to media, government officials and direct responses to constituent inquiries are exempt from this definition.
Members and staff must be fully aware of all requirements and guidelines on the use of the frank. Do not rely on vendors to monitor or comply with deadlines. Members are urged to call the Franking Commission x59337 (majority) or x52061 (minority) with any questions.
