Research Project: Identifying Physical Parameters and Processes Causing Variability of Crop and Forest Reflectance

Location: Hydrology and Remote Sensing

Project Number: 1265-12660-005-05
Project Type: Specific C/A

Start Date: Jul 01, 1999
End Date: Jun 30, 2004

Objective:
Study the physical and physiological parameters and processes that affect reflectance of agricultural and forested landscapes as measured by airborne and spaceborne sensors.

Approach:
Use measuremements and models of atmospheric, plant and soil parameters. Measurements focus on model inputs. Analyze imagery and compare to model outputs. Use a GIS to emphasize spatial components for a landscape-level approach.
