Objective:
Test our monitoring indicators in additional arid environments in the southwestern U.S. and evaluate our monitoring protocols for application to military lands.

Approach:
Select monitoring areas using remote sensing and rapid, ground-based reconnaissance. Conduct rigorous quality analysis of measurements, including repeatability and accuracy across a range of ecosystems. Develop a time- and cost-effective, long-term monitoring schedule for Fort Bliss personnel.
