Objective:
To host the 2004 International Spongospora workshop in conjunction with the 2004 Potato Association of America meetings to be held in Scottsbluff, NE.

Approach:
Identify speakers for the respective topics in a formal symposium titled "Spongospora subterranea f. sp. subterranea causal agent of Powdery Scab and Vector of Mop-Top Virus." Presentations will include: Occurrence, life cycle and epidemiology; Symptoms, identification and detection; Control; Mop-Top, relationship to its vector, and; Oral presentations and/or posters for PAA meetings.
