Objective:
Investigate the biochemical factors governing ethanol yield in sorghum and develop rapid methods for the prediction of ethanol yields from sorghum.

Approach:
Characterize protein, starch, and physical kernel attributes from a wide range of genetically and phenotypically diverse sorghum lines and evaluate ethanol production from these lines. Relate biochemical information to ethanol yields.
