Objective:
Life history studies to refine understanding of biology of root weevils common to red raspberry and strawberry in the PNW. Lab and field evaluations, working with Brigade timing regimes. Evaluate and monitor protocols central to effective timing of various root weevil control strategies.

Approach:
Regular and timely field scouting for overwintering adult root weevils and summer emerging late instar larvae and pupae in the soil is the key component of a successful root weevil management program in small fruits. Documents Grant w/ WSU-Vancouver.
