Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is to perform evaluation of strawberries produced experimentally in hydroponic greenhouse system.

Approach:
Strawberries produced by USDA in a greenhouse facility in Kearneysville, WV will be shipped by over-nigh airborne delivery service to a Cooperator at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. These fruit samples, along with strawberries obtained from a local supermarket, will be presented to a panel of tasters who will perform comparative preference evaluations and rate the fruit on selective quality attributes. The Cooperator will tabulate the panel evaluation forms and present the findings to ARS.
