Research Project: Fungicide Resistance of Strawberry Isolates of Colletotrichum Acutatum

Location: Small Fruits Research

Project Number: 6404-21000-006-07
Project Type:

Start Date: Oct 13, 2004
End Date: Jun 30, 2005

Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is to determine if the strawberry anthracnose pathogen, Colletotrichum acutatum, has developed resistance to the strobilurin fungicides.

Approach:
Isolates of Colletotrichum acutatum collected from strawberry prior to the introduction of the strobilurin fungicides (1999) will be compared to isolates collected since its introduction. In vitro trials will compare the sensitivity of these isolates to the strobilurin and other fungicides.
