Objective:
Explore and develop innovative value added uses for cottonseed and cottonseed products. Establish compositional data to determine nutraceutical value. Continue to explore value added uses of products produced by all types of cottonseed processing.

Approach:
The second year samples from all the operating mini mills will be collected. (2) Innovative processing technology or conditions to improve productivity and product quality will be explored. (3) Value-added uses of cottonseed meals and by-products will be continued. This effort should include: (a) nutraceuticals; (b) antitumor activity; (c) insect control; (d) nutrients for microbes; and (e) other non-food and non-feed applications including fuel additives, lubricants, concrete-form release agent, etc.
