Objective:
Improve our understanding of wet meadow and riparian ecosystem management and provide outreach and technology transfer opportunities.

Approach:
We will use a Specific Cooperative agreement with the Burns/Hines School District to develop a program where the high school ag/natural resources teacher and class provide technical support and outreach for riparian research being conducted on lands recently acquired by the Burns Paiute Tribe. The research emphasis is to develop management and monitoring stratigies that enhance wildlife habitat while maintaining forage and livestock production.
