Research Project: Inoculum Management and Disease Forcasting

Location:

Project Number: 500-53-001-12
Project Type: Grant

Start Date: May 10, 1999
End Date: May 09, 2004

Objective:
Identify necessary conditions and critical events leading to scab epidemics; develop disease forecasting models.

Approach:
Establish and empirical database on epidemic conditions. Repeated trials will allow us to quantify naturally occurring disease-inoculum-environment relationships. A multiple-location field study will establish four plant growth stages in each site to expand the window of opportunity for data collection.
