USGS Illinois Water Science Center
Moves to UIUC Campus
On November 10, 2004, the USGS
Illinois Water Science Center, previously located in
downtown Urbana, moved to a new facility on
the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
campus. The USGS Illinois Water Science Center now occupies the
north side of the new parking garage between Goodwin
and Mathews on University Ave. View Map.
Features include the Importance of Hydrology in the Ecologic
Restoration of the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie, Will County;
USGS Helping to Answer Questions Regarding Nutrients
On April 28, 2004, the USGS Professor Ben Chie Yen Memorial Streamflow-Gaging Station on Boneyard
Creek at Urbana was dedicated in the presence of a large crowd. Read more about the
