TRAINING - READ ME!

The caBIG initiative is ramping up to full speed: Workspace efforts have been prioritized, developer/ adopter partnerships are being formed, and developers are creating software solutions that are caBIG compatible. Paramount to the success of the caBIG initiative is training. Because the caBIG initiative is “moving at the speed of the internet”, it is important for the Training Working Group to function at both a strategic and operational level. With the aim of ensuring success within the 3-year pilot, we need to activate the tactical component. To this end, we would like you to consider the role you and your institution might play as we propel training forward. We invite all of you to attend the Training Strategic Level Working Group teleconference on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at noon EST. This session will be most effective if you also identify one or two individuals at your institution who are actively engaged in developing, managing or presenting training, and invite them to participate on the calls.
