Watershed' includes the areas of Watershed Restoration, Water Rights, Water Quality, Hydrology, Riparian, and Wetlands and the National Riparian Service Team (NRST).

Each of the watershed topic areas has a program leader who assists field scientists in attaining the Chief's watershed priorities and managing resources from a healthy ecosystem perspective.

The National Riparian Service Team (NRST), lead by Wayne Elmore, is a detached staff unit located primarily in Prineville, Oregon. The NRST staff also conducts research, and serves on technical teams addressing riparian watershed management issues.
