QuickTime 6.5
QuickTime 6.5 features 3GPP and 3GPP2, worldwide standards for the creation, delivery, and playback of multimedia over new, high-speed wireless networks. Built on MPEG-4 and powered by QuickTime, 3GPP and 3GPP2 extend the reach of rich multimedia to a new generation of handheld wireless devices. Also new in QuickTime 6.5 are authoring and playback support for AMC, new Unicode text support and enhanced DV playback.

QuickTime API-level developers, content authors, multimedia producers, and Webmasters working with QuickTime should read What's New in QuickTime 6.5.

QuickTime 6 SDK for Macintosh
QuickTime 6 SDK Windows
QuickTime 6.0 SDK contains a set of QuickTime headers used when building QuickTime savvy applications. These headers include definitions for the new APIs introduced in QuickTime 6.0.

The QuickTime 6 Macintosh SDK contains Interfaces for Mac OS X 10.1.x. Interfaces and Libraries for Mac OS 9 are available as a part of Universal Interface 3.4.2. Mac OS X 10.2 comes with QuickTime 6 and the up-to-date Framework.

Windows developers can also use QuickTime within products via the QuickTime 6 Windows SDK. These QuickTime Interfaces and Libraries are required to build QuickTime savvy applications or QuickTime components. Also included in the QuickTime 6 Windows SDK are the tools to generate QuickTime resources for applications or QuickTime components.
