Mission:
The Office of Policy, Planning and Evaluation (OPPE) provides support for national environmental health sciences programs, administered by the NIEHS Director, and for other programs concerned with identifying emerging problems and procedure needs within the broad field of environmental health science.
Function:
Planning and evaluation functions
Implementing and managing new program initiatives
Interpreting new legislation that affects the NIEHS
Managing NIEHS' participation in the annual appropriations process
Liaison functions for NIH, PHS, and national committees or projects
Communications support for the Director, NIEHS and senior staff
