Drug Impaired Driving

NSC launched a Public Service Campaign on Drug Impaired Driving. The campaign includes radio and print public service announcements to educate consumers about the dangers of driving while impaired by many common prescription and over-the-counter drugs such as some antihistamines and anti-anxiety medications.

Holiday Traffic Fatalities

NSC recently released its Thanksgiving Holiday Period Traffic Fatality Estimate, 2004. Its objective is to estimate the number of deaths that will occur in traffic crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday period based on the data available before the holiday.

Injury Facts® 2004 edition released

NSC's annual compilation of data on fatal and nonfatal unintentional injuries, Injury Facts® has been reorganized and updated with International Data, war and terrorism deaths, senior safety, worker's compensation, and other useful information.

NSC expands Robert W. Campbell Award

Building on the success of its inaugural year, the Robert W. Campbell Award has expanded to two categories based on employee size; companies will compete for the Award within their size category. Applications for the 2005 award competition are due April 30, 2005. Evaluation criteria and submission requirements are available at the Campbell Award Web site.

Managing Return-to-work

Congress & Expo 2005 Call for Presentations

Share your knowledge and expertise; abstracts for presentations are now being accepted for the world's largest annual event for safety and health. Abstracts must be submitted by Friday, December 3rd, 2004. Find out more about the submission process.
