Rice University's "Public Connection"

Rice University's Department of Space Physics and Astronomy, in conjunction with the Houston Museum of Natural Science, has created digital museum display software in Earth and Space Science so that you can "visit the museum" from your school, with the basic software available on CD and up-to date images available over the web. In addition, Rice offers online " Ask the Scientist" Cu-See me videoconferences allowing students and their teachers to talk to scientists. Rice University's other web-sites include Teachers Experiencing Antarctica (and the Arctic) and GLACIER, which focuses on global weather patterns, along with climate, oceans, and geology of the Antarctic.
