Special Notices:
  • IMPORTANT The July 2004 total nonfarm and government payroll employment data for Missouri, first issued on August 20, 2004, have been corrected. These corrections do not affect the national nonfarm payroll estimates for July that were issued on August 6, 2004. See http://www.bls.gov/sae/correction082004.htm for more information. The same estimation error that affected the July 2004 data also was found to have affected the July and August 2001-03 data as well. As a result, not seasonally adjusted total nonfarm and government employment data for Missouri have been corrected for July and August of 2001-03. In addition, 5 years of new seasonal factors have been calculated to reflect the corrected data. Seasonally adjusted total nonfarm and government employment data for Missouri have been revised from January 1999 forward to reflect the corrections to the unadjusted data and the new seasonal factors. The BLS regrets any inconvenience these errors may have caused data users. For further information, call the Division of Current Employment Statistics at 202-691-6559.
